allovue_profile_pic Hi!  My name is Brigitte. I’m a full-stack software engineer with development experience primarily in Javascript, Ruby, and Elixir who loves to write maintainable, well-tested code. I taught math and technology in Baltimore City before changing careers into web development.  After completing Betamore‘s Back-End Web Development Course, I built web applications as a Software Development Fellow with Fractured Atlas, and then financial software for school districts at a company called Allovue.  Now, I write Elixir full-time at a cybersecurity education company and teach Front End Web DevelopmentAdvanced Web Design, and Product Design and Prototyping at the Maryland Institute College of Art.  I also co-organize the Baltimore Hackathon, coach at the B’more on Rails Workshop for Women, and mentor for Baltimore Women in Technology.  I’ve spoken at both local and national technology conferences including Ignite and EmberConf.
